I will check tomorrow to see which Weber I have. I did take it to mechanic that works with older cars and he recommneded getting rid of the old gas in the tank (which I did today),new oil filter and he said the carburetor needed to be rebuilt. So this is how I go here. I appreciate all...

I have not, but the issue is more than just backfiring. I have been having issues for years with it starting, stalling, lack of power. All of which carburetor issues ...right??? or am I missing somthing ?

HELP! My late husband did a frame off restoration of a 74 FJ40. A Weber carburetor was installed by a friend a while back. I have had nothing but issues with this carburetor. The car is running like Sh*t (constantly backfiring, no power, stalling etc) and I am being told the carburetor...
