Am curious as to how you got the shade out. Was it forced and/or reusable again? I'm having the EXACT same problem. Shade and glass seem to be paired or stuck together. Only shade goes all the way forward and glass stays back a few inches! I'm really hoping I don't have to drop headliner...

Did you ever get this sorted out? Mine just started doing the EXACT same thing (ie: sunroof will open but shade is out of sync. When you go to close, shade reaches closed position and glass stuck open about 6 inches). Mine is a 96 LX450/80 series.
