Well - not looking so good for Cruise Moab. I was putting out a lot of oil smoke and decided to pull the turbo for an inspection/rebuild.
A new turbo is ordered, but I doubt it will be here by Friday.
I also checked compression and #2 is a bit low - 310 PSI. I will do a leak-down test this...
Work completed this month:
Skid plates
Speaker/tweeter upgrade with underseat subwoofer
Door-cards repaired (clips separated from paperboard)
Dynamat in 5 doors
Front-facing camera
Rock lights
Next on the list:
Front and rear lockers and regear (happening this week)
Oil catch can
I/C deep...
A local builder -Nick at Adventure Fab. He did the bumpers on my firetruck. Mine are weld-on. If you are interested, I believe he saves all the measurements and could set you up with a pair. I will post a few pics shortly.
Replaced the blown radiator and took it for a test drive. Found that the heater core was blocked (no heat) - flushed it as soon as I got home. Otherwise a successful repair.
Lockers and regearing happening in a few weeks!!!
It's what Yakima recommends for permanent track installs. I haven't seen it done yet, but I'm willing to try it. I feel pretty confident that any curvature to that section of the roof is minimal enough for the feet to sit securely.
I've installed them on my fiberglass canopy and a pop-up tent...
