    PTO winch compatibility

Ok thank you - so I would need one off a post 8/80 vehicle then to be compatible with my 82. That is clear, thank you.

    PTO winch compatibility

Thanks - so the years and engines would need to be the same for them to be compatible with one another? I.e. a 70’s 2F PTO won’t work with an 82 BJ42?

    PTO winch compatibility

Hi all, Ad the title suggests, trying to figure out if a PTO winch I have line of sight on would be compatible with my BJ42. It was off a FJ45, both have 4 speed gearboxes. Mine has a 3B engine in it. Presume the FJ45 had a 2F. Any insights would be much appreciated!

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Yep that’s right, Aussie truck. I had a 1978 which didn’t have the extra panel on the front windows, so I’m guessing they came in the 80’s versions here down under.

    Mustard 40's

Just picked up this 1981 BJ42. Should be arriving on the transporter in a week or so. Can’t wait. Used to not like this colour but now I think I’m really set on it, something classic about it that suits these old rigs perfectly.

Best mod you you can do... bought one! BJ42. So happy to have another 40. Didn’t think I liked the mustard but it’s slowly growing on me.

    ‘Brake’ warning light question

Hi all, Have searched and can’t seem to find an answer. My 1978 FJ40 ‘Brake’ warning light is not wired up and doesn’t work, however the back of it looks different to the ‘Park Brake’ warning light (which does work). My question is; should the back of these look the same? And if so, where do...

    Glow plug wiring

Hi all, I have a turbocharged 3b engine I have recently transplanted into my truck and I want to make the glow plugs manually operated (I.e. Hold a switch down and glow plugs are on, let it go and they're off). At the moment the glow plugs are not wired at all. Has anyone done something like...
