I recently purchased a hj75 1989 5speed diesel with a 2h motor and its quite the Lemmon, from cowboy wiring from a****** to breakfast to missing bolts random hose clamps missing to gear box leaks , I took it to my local mechanic to get a rough quote on $ to fix leaks in transfer case n he didn't want to know about it and said Err you paid$3500 for it just drive it till it blows up ,so I said I'll pressure clean it n bring it back in the morning clean so it's easier to determine where the leak was that arvo loaded up my tinny on the back to go for a fish 1.8 km down the road pulled up at the 4wd boat ramp 10 meters into the sand locked in the hubs tried to reverse to the water to launch and bang!! Exploded the transfer case in the sand went back to mechanic n told him I found theoil leak for him and politely explained he won't be getting my business or any1i know ,,and the list goes on but I love the old gir!!! My latest problem is my engine oil is getting diesel leak into it I'm told through the injector pump I'm looking for some guidance from some experienced ppl in the know please
