You must be special or lucky if you got good tech support from Phoenix. I yanked mine out and sold it because they could never get the right software to me to run my HVAC. I know others had it running perfectly, and Phoenix support couldn't be bothered to figure out which ROM and settings worked.

Ah - I was guessing that it might need a layer between the unit and the Can bus to control the HVAC. That's the roll of the dice... If you did have to put a controller in there, boards (like a LiLo) are not expensive - but you need to know how to sniff the codes and program it. would be nice...
