FJ 60 Electrical - No Power - Help!

Fixed. It was the ground at the negative battery post terminal. It was literally six inches from my face the entire time I was staring at the engine compartment trying to figure this mess out. Feel like a bit of an idiot, but par for the course. Thank you to all who responded! Cheers.

I have not checked the grounds. I found a couple of good posts on that here. I'll check and follow up. Thanks for your response!

FJ 60 Electrical - No Power - Help!

Hi Everyone, I've got an 83' FJ 60 that has zero power. Turn the ignition and nothing, not even lights. I've replaced the battery and the ignition switch. I checked the fusible link and all the fuses. I was able to get lights on momentarily by removing the fusible link and directly...

    1983 FJ60 Stalling and Now Won't Start

Good Evening, Friends, My 83 FJ60 stalled out twice on me while driving. Truck just died. I was able to get it started back up the first time, but had to get towed the second time around (on Thanksgiving morning, no less.) Now she won't even start at all. I thought it was a fuel system...

    1983 FJ60 Heater Core Job

Heater core is still leak free....Knock on wood. To my recollection, I don't think I was ever able to source the OEM o-rings. I'm pretty sure the original o-rings were totally shot, and I just removed them before the solder job. Sorry you're having to deal with this. Good luck with the job...

FJ60 Heater / AC control cable question...

Huge thanks for the responses and pictures, and I apologize for delayed follow-up here. It definitely looks like the "warm/cool" control arm is the proper connection for the cable running from underneath the heather core housing. I finally have a chance to get back to work on this project...

FJ60 Heater / AC control cable question...

Hey Guys, I'm hopefully in the last phases of replacing all the dash components after replacing a leaky heater core on my 83 FJ60. I'm stuck on a stupid thing. There is a control cable that runs from underneath the heater core housing. Can anyone tell me exactly where on the heater / AC dash...

    1983 FJ60 Heater Core Job

I used a ton of solder, but I absolutely do not want to deal with this issue again to the extent I can avoid it. Just did the garden hose test, and it's holding a good seal. Thanks, btw, for sharing that thread. I also need to replace all that old foam in the heater box and in the ventilation...

    1983 FJ60 Heater Core Job

I spoke with a local guy who specializes in these trucks, and he said sometimes the best way to go is to just solder the copper pipes into the heater core. So that's what I did. I'm not experienced with soldering joints, but it wasn't a bad job. It may not look the prettiest, but it seems to...

    1983 FJ60 Heater Core Job

I've not heard that before. The o-rings are not OEM. I'll keep researching a fix. I'll post anything I find out. Thanks for the replies, btw.

    1983 FJ60 Heater Core Job

Good Afternoon! The heater core in my FJ60 had a slow leak, and I finally got around to ordering a replacement core and getting the old one out. Total pain in the neck. I'm finally at the point of trying to put the heater core assembly back together, but I've hit a snag that I did not...
