Hi guys I noticed last couple days my Lx 470 on start up revs very high and even when driving changing gears any ideas thanks ?.Idles fine no issues and changes gears fine to no codes also.

Yes correct I have 2001 model.So this system is only on the 2006 and 2007 model.

I think I got same issue , but no codes.So the system of secondary injection pump is only used on start-up correct.If left unattended does it cause further issues before being fixed as I'm not 100% sold it is the issue without a code just guessing.

I may have same issue as you to what a your symptoms besides codes.I'm not getting no codes just a whistling or whirling sound when car is cold on sometimes when starting and when driving taking off then goes away once car is warm.

I had a good look today seems to be coming from around flywheel area so it may be the secondary injection pump which is under the engine cover.Anyone had experience with this.Thanks.

Hi guys have noticed over last couple days a whistling or whirling sound when car is cold and gets louder on acceleration then goes away after car is warm. I thought it may be my brake booster, but it's not happening on braking or start-up only when driving any idea vaccum leake etc no lights...

Hi yep even with the above headlights, wipers a slow or not work,stereo,cruise control and no ac on still does it any load.

Thanks guys will do.Is the whine usually a tell sign for bushes and bearing gets loudest when a.c. and lights are on.

Could it be alternator fuses ?.Car has 278000 miles.The whine has been there for last couple months.

Try that buddy as soon as we turned headlights and a.c on etc car just stalled without them being switched on runs fine.

Spot on they don't sale locally beyond belief.
