This weekend, I wrapped up the cooling system, FINALLY! The rear heater hoses were a PITA, too. I had to drop the PS slider, which wasn't a big deal, but I had to call in reinforcements for that, and then I had to do the rearmost sections twice, because I damaged them during installation, by...

I finally finished the PHH. I scoured all the local parts stores, and ended up resorting to ordering four different sizes of clamps from Amazon in order to find one that fit. They are listed as 24mm, for whatever that's worth. 20 days to replace a hose....

For future reference, p/n 90467-22004 is correct for 1" o.d. hose (like 5/8" i.d. Green Stripe). This is, in fact, incorrect. The hose bulges enough that these clamps will not push over the stub glands. I tried every parts store in town, today, and nobody has the proper size in a spring clamp.

With the MFHH out, I can start replacing stuff, so I made good progress this weekend. All the heater hoses and clamps are replaced, except for the "PHH-ectomy". The dealership had no clamps to fit a 1" O.D. hose. I'm going to sleeve the Green Stripe hose in split loom, and of course, the...

The supercharger was a nuisance, and it took a lot of time, but ultimately was an easy job that I didn't know how to do. The MFHH sucked, start to finish, and caused me physical pain, pretty much head to toe.

I hope the engineer that designed the MFHH gets crabs. I finally got this POS out. In the top 5 worst auto repair I've ever done! It took me a full hour to get the bottom bolt out. One friggin' click at a time, with the 2nd 12mm ratchet wrench I had to buy for this job, lying on that...

Does anyone know the p/n of a genuine Toyota spring hose clamp to fit 1" o.d. hose? Is it 90467-28007?

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

I dropped an 8mm wrench straight down the back of the engine, where it got stuck. Couldn't find it with a magnet. Bought a new one. Then a mechanic-friend let me borrow his lighted borescope, and I got it back. Now, A), I can return the replacement, and B) I need a borescope!

In CO, they paint the trail markers brown, so you never see them. seems so obvious to do yellow or something that stands out.
