With the lack of response, I'm going to guess I'm the only one who feels like this part of the truck is worth investing in. If anyone wants to revisit this feel free to let me know; I'm likely going to continue looking into it for myself at the least.

The only caution I would have is something I ran into using a set of TRD Tacoma wheels (the thick five spoke black/polished 17" ones): the inner barrel did not QUITE clear the GX brakes so I got about 1/16" deep scoring on the inner barrel. I don't know if that would be an issue with the FJ...
