I wins I would have read this yesterday. I read a different post that says Hopkins plugs right in. Almost ten years later and the genius' at Hopkins still haven't figured it out or don't care.probably the later. So if you have a 91 don't buy Hopkins. So frustrating.

I have a similar problem with my 91. It wants to start but as soon as you let of the key it dies like it's out of gas. I replaced the fuel pump & it still does it. so I did the paper clip trick(w/wire) to keep fuel pump on & it works fine been driving it like that for 4 months.

Ok so it was the AFM. I soldered the connection back on to v2 & e2, CEL now comes on, code blinks normal. It still won't start gets real close putters than nothing!

Haven't checked voltage @ ECU yet can't find it. Voltage @ fusible link is good. Yes I did remove screws from afm but have double checked there looks good?

I can't count the blinks it won't come on at all & I did try that. I got the scan tool @ O'Reileys it's made by Innova model#3120 covers OBD2 & 1 comes with multiple adapters for all makes it has one that plugs into the entire diagnostic where u do the paper clip thing. Thanks I bet that's it. I already checked the coil and I have a spare threw it in just in case and that wasn't it. I will do that first thing tomorrow and the fusible links just cause.
