    80 Series Safety

What do you guys think of this 2000 LC: 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser Granite 4wd Third Seat Heated Seat/As New. I'm always a little wary working with small dealers.

    80 Series Safety

@AaronM33 & @DocuDude, thank you for the tips. When our son was born, the hospital actually wouldn't let us leave until I could install the seat myself according to their standards (set by guys fro the local FD/PD). I then had to teach my parents and in-laws how to do it correctly. I am a big...

    80 Series Safety

Thank you to everyone who has responded to my concerns. I have a lot to think about. As much as I really like that older body style, I feel like the more practical vehicle choice may be the '00 or '06. I have one friend whose opinion was to not buy anything before '06 as a family daily driver.

What model Subaru do you drive? That was the other vehicle we were contemplating (an Outback), but my wife feels much better up in a traditional SUV as well as the trunk space for when she has the dogs. She keeps trying to steal my 4Runner TRD Pro.

    80 Series Safety

This is the 1989 LC I was looking at: 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser. According to the seller it needs a new AC blower, horn, and window motor. I also found these newer models, but we just really like the 80's styling: 2000: 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser - 4x4 - 3rd row Seats 2006: 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser

    80 Series Safety

That makes me feel so much better, I just let my father in-law get in my head. I would easily put a teenager in one, but wasn't sure how they would fare with someone much younger and still in a carseat (and soon a booster). My guess is they might actually be safer since they don't have airbags...

    80 Series Safety

We are looking at buying an 80 series LC as a daily driver, but wanted to hear the groups thoughts about safety. We have a 3yr old son and I want to make sure he'll be fine in our rig should something happen. Thoughts? Should I look at something newer?
