@Matt Sierra I built one from scratch. But it has the wrong circuit trace - it’s from an HDJ79 - so it is mostly useless. I think this is the fourth cluster in total, when I make sure that this works I can then go back and reuse all the shiny new parts from the previous new cluster build...

I mixed and matched cluster parts and finally found one where everything works except the fuel gauges. I replaced the kmh speedometer overlay with the mph overlay from the cluster I had built. I checked and replaced all the lightbulbs. For whatever reason the door ajar lamp doesn’t work on this...

I redid the intercooler piping with 3” on the hot side and clamped it all down. Violet approves, though she would like to go to bed.

We did another road test and headed to the gas station to fill up. Interestingly, the rear tank kept foaming and filling up… So I stopped trying to fill it. When I got back to the ranch I took the rubber fuel hose off and found a giant mouse nest in the filler neck! I have gotten the filler...

More progress today. My friend Kevin, the greatest x-ray tech the world has ever known, stopped by for a few hours. I extended the 79 series parking brake to reach the wider 80 series axle. I mocked up a simple extension bracket. I’ll build a better one. The e brake now works!

Made progress tonight. I got all of the intercooler piping built. I’m about five hose clamps away, but I feel safe taking it on the road now and not sucking rocks, dirt, or bugs into the engine or turbo.

Well, friends, back at it a week later. We miss Nate terribly, but the pain is starting to ease a little. You know what? The speed sensor works a lot better if it has a gear on it. I don’t know why I just assumed that the sensor magically plugged in and did something… But now we can measure...

I did get the correct clamshell installed today. Small win. Then I fired up @Spallet’s forklift and moved crates of parts around the ranch. Are those all-terrain tires? Yes, if you go fast enough.
