    90 winch mount

Hi Philip, Of course, picture not great as taken in the dark. There bolts that hold the brackets on each side are labled 1 2 and 3. Number 1 goes right through the chassis rail (I had to drill these but he said some already have them). 1 and 2 use the mouting where the tow hooks normally are...

    90 winch mount

Hi Philip, Ive have the one on the link bellow, made by a chap in poland. Note that the Ebay price includes (Estimated) import Fees. Easy enough to install, had to drill one hole on either side and trim the end of the chassis leg slighly but super solid is it goes through Chassis leg in...

    Manual transfer to automatic transfer

Ah yes, a very old thread but since its at the top now i shall add my two cents as I've just done the reverse. All parts are the same aside from the shifter mechanism and the auto doesn't have synchro's. In an auto the shifter is actually on an adapter between the gearbox and transfer case (TC)...

    Strange 6th body mount??

No worries at all. Yes that makes sense. You might be able to get someone bouncing on the rear tailgate and pushing it up to see if you can see any noticeable flex or fouling through the body. Long shot but not to hard to do. Happy to compare it to one of mine. Worth noting too that the body...

    Strange 6th body mount??

Hello Im probably not going to be of too much help but I have had a look at both my 90's and they are both the same as the pictures below (Excuse the mud!). By the looks of things, they have the cylindrical mount which is 52216A circled on your diagram. Looks like whatever is on yours is a...

Inclinometer gone crazy - any hard reset?

That's a bit strange, the connector is behind the glove box, up and to the right, not hard to get too. You could try unplugging it and check the connections are not corroded or anything. Failing that I've got a fully working one for sale for £70 in Oxfordshire. Ben.

Land Cruiser 95 | Tyres choice - help!

Hello! I run KM3's (obviously mud terrain) on my 90 and I think they are brilliant. It had old practically worn KO2's on it when I got it. Its my daily driver and I don't get annoyed with a bit of noise - Its nowhere near as bad as people make out, but noisier that AT's. That being said if your...

    Engine/transmission removal

Hi All, Im Looking to take the engine and transmission out of a 2000 KZJ95 (auto) TD parts car. Just wondering if anyone has any experience doing this and can advise on areas such as order of removal, any tricky bolts to get too or often don't want to budge and what needs to be drained (Power...

    Transfer case compatibility

Hi All, I have just discovered a crack in my transfer case near the drain plug (obviously been over tightened). Does anyoneknow if the UK models all use the same case? I have a friend who might be breaking his but mine is a 2001 D4-D manual and his is a 1999 TD auto so they couldn’t be anymore...

    Replace cupped tires?

Do you know why the tyres are wearing in such a way? if you get new tyres you may prematurely wear them out in the same way. If the tyres are not currently dangerous I would try to solve the issue before getting brand new ones. Could be as simple as wheel weights not being installed correctly...

    Transfer case chain

Just thought id give a little update for anyone who looks at this in the future as its now done.... Toyota confirmed the chain is the same in the 90 as in the 120 transfer case. 90 part number is 36293-35031 and 120 part number is 36293-35040. If you are looking for a chain for the 90, just...

    Cabin Air filter

Thanks for the reply. Must be the same here because there nothing in the glove box and all the pipes go behind the stereo.

    Cabin Air filter

Hi All, Do UK 90's have a cabin air filter? If so where is it located? Mines a 51 plate. Ben.

    Transfer case chain

Also is the chain the same as the one for the 120? I can find examples of that everywhere but none for the 90. Its a manual.

    Transfer case chain

Hi All, Unfortunately i think the transfer case chain is slipping under heavy load on my 2001 D-4D 90. When i try to make a hasty exit out of a junction or accelerate hard in 1st (Even in a straight line) i get a popping sound very similar to this video but maybe 3 or 4 pops: I also have slack...
