When I bought my 450 I didn't care for the look of the spoiler and removed it. Turns out not a moment too soon, as I found significant rust underneath both mounts.

'96 97 98 LEXUS LS400 and LX450 airbags are interchangeable, so possibly the wheels are too. I intend to test this theory soon.

Since I really don't drive it that much, an excellent idea as an interim solution. Thank you.

Is there an easily accessible wire under the dash that I can use to disable the '80s ignition? I'm thinking of putting a hidden switch somewhere as an additional measure of theft prevention. The shift/selector position circuitry seems to be a good candidate, but is there something more...

ih8mud is incredible. I just got stuck w/the same shifter issue in the driveway this morning and the first thread search offered up (this one) solved it. For me it was the fuse. I used my trailer yesterday and I'll bet the funky wiring on the trailer caused the issue. Thanks all for maintaining...

Just a post-repair followup. Here's the bad No. 1 heater bypass hose w/the 2” split in it. The rupture is at the 12 o'clock position (which makes sense, since the head's heat is continually radiating downward onto it: 20181002_122354.jpg - Shared with pCloud I have a '97 LX450, but the ~$15...

Btw I’ve ordered the ~$15 Toyota part and it’ll take a few days to get here (this is not the little three inch one) if someone has a good procedure pls post.. I know... I should replace the little hose too.. thx tom
