Is anyone else running an electric fuel pump on a 78 FJ40 with a Weber carb and how far is it to your fuel tank?

I have an Edlebrock electric fuel pump PO installed, the motor cranks great, no pick up issues, but it looks rigged up. I've read a few threads to place it close to the tank for suction, and not a 100% sure about the power situation. The proper hook up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thrust washer help.

That's entirely possible, I got a fairly good deal on it, it was a resto that the dude gave up on halfway through. It ran before I started tearing down but didn't drive it far enough to lock up the rear end, just around the block and then towed to my storage shop. Entirely possible its been there.

    Thrust washer help.

It was missing from the top one, pulled the pin and it looks pretty raggedy. I'm assuming it had just enough play or was loose to slide out? But thank you very much for responding to me! I'm always grateful for any guidance!

    Thrust washer help.

Ok, so I do have to remove the center pin? Thats what I was thinking, I couldn't picture how to get it past a solid pin? It goes between the housing on the gear with the pin through it? The SOR drawing is confusing because its from the side.

    Thrust washer help.

Sorry, I always forget that part since I'm in the FJ40 sub. It's a 1978, its all stock, rear differential. I've looked at countless threads and I keep reading to slide it in the top and can feel its way in. I've looked at the SOR manual, I have 2 Toyota repair manuals, I've googled it, I just...

    Thrust washer help.

Flushing out rear end and replacing rear brakes, I find this thrust washer in the diff housing. I've read every thread I could find, it goes behind the driver's side spider gear, easiest way is to rotate it until you can drop it in from the top, behind the spider? I'm just not seeing how that's...

Mounting measurements for 78 Fj40 tire carrier needed please.

Yeah totally, I have a 78 and all the hardware, I was going to rest my carrier on a rolling tool cart to eye up where it should go. But now I have a better idea rather than trying to guess it.

Holy s***! I was literally just thinking about this! I am in the same boat, I didn't know how to mount the old arm correctly, dimensions wise. This made my day! Thank you so much!

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Front end rebuild, having a helluva time finding that keeper that goes on the hub after the nut and star washer. I welded in and cleaned up the one I have because none of the rebuild kits come with it. Came out ok but took some work.

Hey there, yes, its at full droop, I don't have everything on it yet, I'm tempted to send it back but its been such a hassle to get to this point I'm trying to make it work.

    Front leaf spring issue solved!

Hey there, sorry for the late response, I got tied up yesterday. That shackle in the picture I had fabricated out of 1/4" stainless we had in the scrap bin at work, I took the original size then extended it by an 1"7/8 on size. When I get back to the shop I'll post another picture for size...
