UPDATE
With the driver's seat out of the truck to install the extended seat rails, I got my first proper look underneath it. Despite the truck and interior being in great shape, 30 years is still 30 years, and there was the inevitable collection...
Oh wow this is good insight! I actually have always wanted to use Solidworks but could never justify the cost for what I was going. I've tried Fusion and didn't like the interface so I went back to Shapr. I used AutoCAD a bit in high school too...
Never heard of this-I've been using solidworks for 11 years now across 4 or 5 organizations and will likely always have access to a professional license, but this is good to know. What are the differences?
Did you run CAD back in your past life? SolidWorks has a thing called "SolidWorks for Makers" which is $48/year for basically the full SolidWorks CAD package, provided you're not using it for commercial / business use. I've been a SolidWorks...

Cheers! Thank you.
Ryan! Cool to see you on here too. Can't wait to see your Tacoma...
Appreciate this. Will do!
I actually chatted with the P/O today (the one who bought it off the family of the deceased). We were able to find the persons name and it turns out during his ownership he was a Professor at Northern Arizona University...
Hi Arizona Land Cruiser folk! I just fired up my build thread after driving my new-to-me 97' Land Cruiser from Phoenix/Prescott up to BC Canada early in the spring. I'm going to pull an excerpt from my build thread (HERE, if you are interested)...
OEM+: An Exercise in Restraint
OEM+: the philosophy for this build. To me, OEM+ has always meant understanding why Toyota engineered these trucks the way they did and making thoughtful improvements that enhance the original vision rather than...
Cool thread. I reespect all the cleanup work to revive this thing! Going deep on the interior is something not a lot of people do, but I feel it's one of those things that really makes a truck feel special when the interior is 'fresh'.
