Are we really stuck with Beasley? Is there any interest in Choco or one of the other parks in Alabama?

I am kinda with Sid here, I dont think I would make the trip up to Beasley...

Not Morris Mountain, been there 2 times have no real love for the place but Choco is worth going to. I think Beasley was chosen because it's typically 10 degrees cooler in the mountains and much more comfortable to wheel in.

I'm pretty much out for the next month of two. We're going on vacation the last week of June and the truck is out of commission at the moment.

I should be good to go for Choco...I will just have to check with my personal scheduler :hhmm:

Who are you? I guess visitors are welcome...

:flipoff2: :flipoff2: Hey help my dad get his GSMTR pics off his camera I can't talk him through it over the phone. No one seems to have really posted many pics so I don't feel like I missed out on much.

Edit: What's this next one all about?

"7-21 Geo trek North GA"

actually we started that last year. After we wheeled River Rock in August 2010 we all cooked like bugs in a frying pan so we pretty much stopped wheeling the rigs in July & August.

But, we had to do something fun so a couple members came up with the idea of using daily drivers (4x4) that had A/C.

So, here's what we do: Get about 10-15 sets of GPS coordinates all over the Chatt NF along with a picture of a truck at each location. This information is given (in hard copy) to the competing teams (1 driver, 1 navigator) and the goal is to race to each location and take a picture of your truck at the specified GPS coordinates that exactly matches the picture provided. The fastest time wins. :steer::steer:

Dave and I won last year by miles. We even tried to get the group right behind us arrested for speeding through Ami Falls park but it didn't work. :bang:

At the end, we all cruise to a pizza joint for food and suds.

sounded a little goofy at first last year but we actually had a blast.

Sounds pretty fun. Still a little far for me and the DD Tundra is 2WD (no doubt since it got stuck going up the hill pulling a Troopy in the dark and after it rained.)

Edit: And the 4Runner is 2WD also but we traded it in anyway. I'm pretty sure the wife's new Camry wouldn't make it...

If they have trails a stock LC can go through (but have some sort of challenge ;)) I can come. Is everyone meeting up somewhere and convoying?

Your truck should do fine...if you start out and don't like it, there are always open seats. Ted could always use a passenger...

LOL sounds like a plan, hope to meet you and everyone else there :)

Well this ride is in less than a week, who is ALL IN to go?

The plan is to meet at Choccolocco (Choccolocco Mountain Off Road Vehicle Park | Jacksonville, AL 36265) at 9:00 AM Central time (thats 10 am Atlanta time).

If you plan to caravan over, there is a group meeting at the Chick-fil-a near the Cumberland Mall at 8:30 Atlanta time. Be ON TIME, because if you are late, you will be left behind :flipoff2:.
