Great pictures Johnny.

I'm going to say '63 due to it having a roof vent, plus just "thumb push buttons" on the bifold, as I believe the '64's and '65's have the "pull handles" to depress those push button latches.

Do I win anything if I am right :)

Your right Dean about the rear handles but it also looks like it doesn't have the high B pillar. Top vent was a option not standard on all hard tops. I've got a high pillar hard top that doesn't had have the vent in the top. Not sure if it was from a FJ40 or FJ25 since the door were the slide type not the roll up. Most 63 had the LAND CRUISER stamped bezel. This one doesn't. Rear tail lights look like the smaller one again a 63 and earlier thing. 64 the front seats got thicker and these look like the thinner ones. If it had a high B pillar I would say late 63 for sure. 62 and 63 seem to have had alot of changes during the year. The same with 69. Maybe the high pillar went away during 63. I've heard many year ago when I first started hunting the stamped bezel that is was a 61/62 and part of 63 thing. So have I confused everybody as much as I've confused myself:rolleyes:

I had to look these picture over again...John, you have great eyes!!!

So would you say late '63 or early '64 with carry-overs from '63?

Nope...I did not see them on the disk...but I saved these copies to file ;)

I know what you mean, the knowledge shared here id just fantastic...too bad everyone is so far apart :frown:

Thanks Jonny. Those real close to my. I just love that year. corregated top, hubcaps, pto, split hood, round signals.

Looks like back then hub caps were hard to come by ;)

dean...i am pretty sure that hardtop from me is a 64...it had just the push buttons on the outside and the center vent.

i got the top from tyke...maybe you can email him about it...and he can give you a definative ans on wether it is 64 or 63.

3) what is up with the vents? are there louvers on the vents? or just what is it?
see pics: :hhmm:

 What an eye! I agree, those are definately louvers, never seen those before either.
