My numbers:

When the motor is cool, I can rev the engine and get my oil pressure up to 95 or 100 psi , and then when hot, it maxes out around 60 or 70. At idle, it never falls below 15 and is usually dead on 20. Gotta be happy with that! And I am running a T connector and am running the OEM gauge as well (for now). This proves once and for all that the stock gauge is useless.

Water temperature is never higher than 185° or 190° F.

EGTs are pretty cool, when accelerating = 800° or 900°. Cruising at 2250 rpms in 5th (~55 mph) = 670° F.

Anybody have an idea of what "ideal" numbers are for a 2H (not turbo'd)?

Damn, I screwed up my thread title...I hate that...can't even edit it!

I don't know baseline numbers on a 2H, but on a 3B, oil pressure is round about where yours is.

As for EGT's, a non-turbo-ed 3B will push 1200-1400 degrees or more if you are not careful. Your numbers are good.

What kind of gauges are those?

Craig.

GlowShift. Mid-grade, decent...honestly more show than quality, but far from crap.

Is this the old engine rebuilt or the old engine?

It sounds ok what ever it is

Not rebuilt from what I know. Leaks from several places, of course, but runs tight. Has ~250K (miles) on it.

I'm little scary when I saw my oil press over 80 PSI .. ( blowed turo seals ? ) so I let it take some temp before drive taking care for the oil press ..

I have no idea the factory EGT numbers for my 2H since when I first install the pyro gauge, inmediately more my diesel up ..
