I am following up from last meeting's decision to go on a snow run Feb. 13, 2010. I suggested Mt Brenton off the Copper Canyon Main. This is a snow mobile use area. There is a gate and watchman, not far off the highway. It would be good if someone who lives up that way could check on access for that day.

That looks like the road to holioke lake . There wasn't much snow up there except at the top . There is pretty good trail at the very top up by the radio tower . good place to have a fire and chill out by the lake . If you guys are into a little harder trail go straight across when you get back to the bottom of the road going onto the mainline . there is a trail that will take you down to a nice spot on the river .

cool I thinks its a go
Seapotato could you have a look to see if the gate will be open on saturday.

Be prepared to pay $2 at the gate and no quads. The rent a cop will be there, last time I was there we went in through Ladysmith main line, got totally lost and came out there. He wasn't impressed and gave us a big lecture. Remind him that the gate is on public land and theres no island timberlands land for about 12km on that road. I think the gate is locked at 6 which is a load of crap.

Im at work so I can't join you guys or scout it out.

How about we meet Saturday at 9:00 am at the Tim Hortons Drinkwater Road (the north one). A few years ago there was 3' to 4' of snow up there.

I think that snow will be gone if it was a few years ago:p

well we could get all olympian on it...

bury canisters of liquid nitrogen, get some bales of hay to pad up the moguls, and a few truckloads of snow from the interior.

I'm sure mark can chip in with a helicopter if we need the snow from further away...;p

prez has to work sorry guys maybe next time
