So I recently splurged and bought Diesel42's turbo kit for my 3B. It's a Garrett 2052 turbo and mounts to the 13B-T manifold that Steve sells.

So, I'm thinking the install would be a good excuse for another Tech day for any club members interested in making the venture out to Abby.

I'll have the BBQ on and beers to share, so should be a good time. Wrenching is optional; just want to come and BS, you're welcome to!

September 22, 9am start.

3fourfourfour8 Kent Ave

Looking forward to it!

You will love it, that's the kit I have you won't like how the actor mounts once its clocked for your truck but other than that its beautiful to drive.

Hey Brad, were you able to use your stock air filter housing? It looks awfully tight to still use that.

I maybe able to come up for a few hours. installed a turbo or two in my time as well so may actually be able to help.

I would take a few minutes and dry fit the parts my adapter plate holes were clocked wrong so turbo wanted to for vertical, just so you don't waste a tech day :)

Thanks Brad, Mat showed me how to 'clock' it for the correct direction; I'll try and have as much prep done as I can prior to Tech Day.

Anyone have a local source for silicone hose? I need a 3" to 2" adapter for my air cleaner to turbo line.

Cheers,
Rob

I'm working that day how late do you guys usually go until? It was my turbo that sat wrong because of the way it was machined, turbo wanted to sit vertical exhaust end down intake end up, is your actuater mounted with more that 1 bolt? To clock mine properly it was only holding on 1 bolt and boost would creep over time.

I bought all my silicone from mopac auto supply but that high performance diesel place probably has them.

Tech day will go to 3 or 4 I think; I've got family dinner stuff to tend to I think. I'll have to check the actuator.

I picked up a 3" to 2" silicon adapter at Lordco today. Got my exhaust flange fabbed up locally as well. Just need to get the 3B oil pan gasket from Toyota tomorrow and I think we're good to go!

Thanks John,

I'm good to go, just need to pick up the 3B gasket today from Toyota.

We won't be doing anything Sunday as I have a bunch of family stuff to do then.

Looking forward to it!

Would love to come out, but unfortunately cant get out of work till 6. You need to get a comparison of before and after, possibly a timed run up one of the steepest hills in Abby. Would be interesting to see the numbers, and how are you going to handle adding extra fuel with the boost?

Its not looking like I can make it, Robin and I are headed out of town Saturday for a night in Manning.

Depending when we get out of town I may stop buy on the way and help for a bit.

No worries, Jeremy. Even if you just stop by and say hi with the :princess: on your way, that's cool.

I will pop up for a while but have to leave about noon or there abouts, folks are in town from Ont.
What time does this shindig start?
