Tools R Us said:Votes, whatever? I haven't seen the long list of those willing to step up and work for the club, most who want to, already do? The way I see it, if someone wants to step up, lets exploit it? If Phil wants to, why wait for a vote, anoint yourself prez, dictator, king or whatever floats your boat? If having a "title" makes some willing to do more, by all means, lets hand them out! We can have the official Jester, Sargent at Arms, Trail Safety Officer, etc, etc! My observation, this club has grown, functioned very well without "officials", but again, that is just my opinion.
Unfortunately the club has likely grown too big, has become a group of "clicks". Too many have forgotten that it was about enjoying common/shared interest and let personalities get in the way. As is said in business; I happily do business with some that I wouldn't choose to break bread with. The toxic posts here have taken the fun out of it, I was hoping Phil would take the job, allowing me to backout, escape without drama.
OK then no more drama! I will accept and assume the responsibility of the outcome. Gracefully step away from the title/position and let’s see what course the club will take on its own with other voices being heard. In 6 months there will either be change or stay on the same course.
You have been a great CSC spokesman for TRAL . I would like to see you continue your effort into promoting TRAL to the club. I will look forward to monthly reports at the meeting as I’m sure other will also. You have a strong voice in CSC and I look forward to your support in the direction it goes.
I’m good with taking the ball and run with the June meeting. Please address this ASAP as I have a lot of work to do by June 21, 2013.
Please feel free to call me if you have any details you would like to discuss in private.
Sincerely, Phil

's that we are. The club is getting bigger and must consider the needs of the entire membership for planned runs, PR activities, monthly meetings, etc. The absence of a structure has us in the position we are in today, with no defined process for elections or definition of the duties of the elected officers. We charge a membership fee to join, so there should be accountability and tracking of the funds. So, we probably need a little more structure, but not too much. The lack of an overbearing structure appeals to most members.
