So I realized that I have not created a build thread for my old beater.
I bought this 1992 HDJ81 in 2011, it had a 4” lift and some 35” tires and was in really great shape. It is fully loaded with factory lockers, fridge, cold weather package(heated seats, fuel heater, pull down rad screen) and a winch.
I brought it home, put it through the out of province inspections, and it passed easily. We found a rooftop tent on our local classifieds and picked it up for cheap. I then started adding parts and replacing oils. I bought a 3 in 1 gauge with boost/EGT/trans temp then started messing with the fuel. Here is a list of my upgrades
• Boost controller (home built)
• 3 in gauge
• Roof top tent
• Change oils/fluids
• Replace brake pads
• Supra turbo
• Celica turbo
• GBentink bad boy turbo
• Home built roof rack
• 9” 75W HID lights
• 4 6” offroad lights
• Hella 55/100 head lights
• Walbro pump
• Webasto TSL17
• Webasto Airtop 2000
• 3” exhaust
• Toyota snorkel
• ACSD delete
• Sliders
• Snow performance stage 2 water/meth injection
• Lower rad hose heater
• Air to air intercooler
• 2 new batteries
• Fire extinguisher
• Rear drawers
• New Doetsch shocks
• New bearcat CB and PA
• New stereo/amp/12” sub
• LED Mag light mount
• Shovel mount
• Hi-lift mount
• 11x16 military Michelins on Toyota 4runner rims
• Oil catch can
• ARB CKMA compressor and 5 gallon tank for air tools and air horns
• Edgestar fridge
• Maxtrax tracks
• Crazy amount of RAM mounts
• IPAD navigation
• Spot gps
• Synthetic winch line
• Trasharoo
It still isn’t done yet. I am ordering
• 4.88 R&P
• Crawler gear
• Ironman 6” springs or full air ride (not sure)
• 50” LED light bar
• Hopefully a cruisin offroad rear bumper
• 4” divorced downpipe and exhaust
I am sure the list will grow too. I hope not too much as I am trying to build a 1928 model A Ford coupe too
Here it is the day I bought it
