My third report. I have been taking a sample once a year in the fall. So far things are looking good, especially their comments.

Hope the report is readable. I had to convert the pdf into jpeg to upload it.

This just confirms my theory that Delo is the best bang for the buck in motor oil. (Period!)

You basically cannot get a report that is any better than that, no matter what motor oil you run, including synthetics.

I just scored a case of 6 gallons at Costco last week. It was $66 and change then they had a $15 dollar coupon. Sweet! My rig likes this oil. After my first sample Blackstone told me I could easily take this to 4500 miles so I started doing that and the numbers just keep coming back good.

Brett--What oil are you running? It looks like completely different stuff based on the Zinc, Boron and Moly levels. You should seriously consider switching to Delo!

Bummer Brett, hopefully its just some crap that got in there. Keep checking samples and maybe a different oil. What oil was that sample?

That was my first oil change. That was from the PO. Not sure what they put in there. I am persuaded now on the Delo. Thanks Alvin

I just sent in a sample on Saturday with 5-20 Valvoline. I am anxious to see what they end up saying about the bearings.
My next change will be with Delo.

I got this rig in June of 04 with 114k on the clock. After reading a boatload of cary's and Raventai's posts on oil, I started using the Delo (because I didn't want to spend the $$ on Mobil 1)and began sending in samples in 06. So now each fall when it's oil change time, I get a sample and send it in.
If you're gonna use dino oil, Delo is the shizzle.

I'm anxious to see what the 5w-20 UOA looks like.

Thanks for the answer. I guess it's unknown mystery oil.

5w-20 is definitely NOT the oil of choice for an 80, and not recommended by Toyota. Why did you choose that? Most of us run a little heavier viscosity oil in the 80s and match up to worldwide Toyota recommendations.

Based on other oil analysis posted here, Mobil1 0w-40 would also be a good choice, but significantly more $$ than the Delo.

I agree 100% with you on the Delo, I also buy it from Costco when it's on sale. I run it in all of my vehicles in the summertime, but winter is just a little to cold for it here. Winter time the rigs get 5w-40 Rotella. Every time I read a report like this one I get a huge smile on my face:) I heart my 80 series.
