LPSV bleeds but no fluid is making it to the drums

This is my 86 4runner which has a stock suspension. My brakes were hard so I replaced my booster. The good news is that seemed to have helped. But while I bled the brakes I noticed the rears were dry. The fronts were fine. I traced the issue back to the LSPV.

The two brake lines coming from the front are wet. Brake fluid comes out of the bleeder valve at the botom when you bleed it. But the outlet hose that goes to the flexible hose which then goes to the brake line over the axle is dry. Is there an adjustment I can do, or is it bad? In the pic, the line that is dry is the hook shaped one.

I removed the LPSV and opened it up. Nasty stuff was in there. I see that Toyota has a Boot n Bush kit to replace the boots and bushings. I could go this route, or get a new LPSV and spring, or go delete the LPSV all together, although I am not sure what negative impact that may have. Ideas?

LPSV keeps you from locking up the rears when lightly loaded or stopping fast. It is a good idea to keep it.

Looking at the gunk, I'd replace. It may have corroded up the cylinder and piston so they are sticking.

Just replace it,it will be pain if something else happens due to faulty brakes.

Thanks, I decided to take your advice. I ordered a new valve and spring. Should be here next week.

There is tons of info on this site about removing the valve.

Its a common upgrade. I dont care for it myself and remove it an all the rigs I build. Its expensive and known to cause problems.

Ya dont see them on other MFGers rigs either.

To close this out, a new LSPV and arm along with bleeding them fixed the problem.
