I am getting jealous of the CruiserHead pages with their hoity-toity mechanic/shop list so i figure it is high time we all band together amongst ourselves here and do the same. :D

Here's how it works..

List:

City (or County) & STATE
Name of Mechanic and Shop (*Keep the List Current..update as needed.)
Phone number
E-mail
Discounts
Specialty Things

I'll go first with one of the most obvious...

Fresno, Ca

Marlin Czajkowski (and Mike, and the Crew :) )~Marlin Crawler
(559)25-Crawl

TLCA and Some Specific Club Discounts as well as some Forum Discounts, ask when calling in.

Specialties: Obviously Manual transmissions and so much more, but with Mike there the tech even goes into MR-2's and other line-ups as long as it's Toyota, they pretty much have a handle on things.

Advise: They do great work and do what it takes to make it that way...which can often mean a bit of a wait, but well worth it IMHO.

City (or County) & STATE: Barrington, NH
Name of Mechanic and Shop: My garage
Phone number: PM me
E-mail: PM me
Discounts: depends on my mood
Specialty Things: sarcastic advice, grouchy attitude if not enough coffee

(nobody touches my vehicles but me)

E-mail: PM & BNA4x4Dave@comcast.net

Discounts: Prolly half of what anybody that pays frivolous taxes will charge...I'm an enthusiast, you're an enthusiast...we'll work something out. I mainly do it for the fun of it.

Specialty Things: Anything with a 20/22R or 22RE bolted to it...V6 finder and have worked on a few. Have a friend experienced in Landcruisers (even Bj) and a few other contacts in my area.

Weather you live here, or just passing through. I'll help the best I can with any problems you might be having. 24/7

Also have a network pretty much set-up to cover all of middle TN. Let me know what you need, and I can prolly find it.

Not "too" kind to flippers though...this stuff's expensive enough w/o another middleman. (I would know, I used to be one) So, no, I don't know where any R151's OR CATALYTIC CONVERTERS are...:D

no one touches my vehicles either....I think you're going to find a lot of that around here.

I do tend to see more cruiser guys that are like the "Harley Davidson type" of toyota owner, meaning they may not be an enthusiast, just bought one to be into something. meaning they may not always do their own wrenching.

don't get mad......I didn't say all cruiser guys, but there are a small few.

Larry's always informative, cooperative, and a cool guy to know. *Might just have to find an excuse to visit both him and MudRak. :D (*NorCalBorn=Shane/Obi) Looking forward to the SwapMeet so i can meet you all! :D

Bump, this thread needs to be shown some love*.

I guess I should go ahead and put my name down on the list even though I am getting a little older and stuff tends to pop and creak a little more. (Me, not the vehicle or tools.) I don't openly do quotes or whatever w/o viewing the repair first.

Just pm me and I'll give whatever help I can, or offer a suggested spot to do little things that can't be done in a driveway. San Francisco East Bay Area

(*and a little love for Wristy also!)

Wristy, sending your information and 2ndGenToyotaFan's to my little brother as he should have his vehicle back in his hands soon. I am going to try to look it over myself before he gets it too far North of here, but I would like for him to have choices with who to have his repairs done by. Mostly because he isn't a wrenching type but understands most stuff. The Medford Subaru dealership is a complete failure in my eyes, I don't want them dealing with similar stuff with the 4Runner.

Warning, it is a 3.0, and anything he needs advise on I trust you two will help, and pm me anything I need to review.

Thanks in Advance!

Shane

Larry Kitahara, and Gary Kardum are both awesome. I can't go to either of their shops without my jaw dropping over something.

Sorry for the hijack, just thought a customer review might be apropos.
