Hi All.
Just wondering if anyone has installed the plug in style round HID replacement headlights, they are available on Ebay for about A$220. Would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks Johnny.

Never used the ones from ebay...sounds pricey...Link?

I did replaced mine last week with HiDs from DDM Tuning for $45 I think. Lifetime warranty... I bought the 6k kelvin. Kit is a breeze to install.

Great product with great customer service.

I also replaced the round eyes glass "case" with new ones from Hella for $70 from amazon. The ones came with the truck the glass was hazy and crudy...The Hella kit did come with new H4 bulbs that I have as spares.

Love my HIDs.

Links for the parts you used?

No hi-jack intended Ticocafe , do you by chance have part numbers you used for the HID upgrade? I have Hella lights now but HID would be the bomb.

Sure...
This is my 4th set of HID kits from DDM Tuning. 2 on motorbike and 2 on vehicles...

I use this HID kit...$49

Go through the Wizard...
Pick the bulb size (H4 hi/low), bulb color (i went with 6k), wattage (i went with 35W since I think 55w are way to bright), I did not get the ballast bracket which is a $3 option as i used commercial grade velcro.

Hella Round Eyes & HIDs kit is the sweet upgrade!

I love mine and the light pattern is nice with no complaints

I have Roundeyes with DDM 35W 6k HID Hi/Lo

The cutoff is apparent but is not a flat line. Curved because of the reflector in the headlight. Without it you would blind people. Ask me how I know (even with a 35W kit)

Both take a u-shape on the road. I think that pattern is due to the length of the bulb. It is much longer than a standard H4 bulb. So when my HIDs go out and they are not in warranty I'll just put in standard bulbs and I bet they will be awesome.

Although any parts you get at different times from DDM will be different. Experienced that when going through the warranty process. The HID lasted a while. And the light output is amazing. In the end a set of Roundeye housings and a proper H4 bulb is MILES ahead of stock sealed beam. Try without the HID first and see what you think.

Sorry for the rambling, almost incoherent post. I'm at the bar

I put some cheapie off eBay on mine 50w I think, was good but blinded people,
from what I can remember when looking you need the euro spec glass has a more definite cut off,
mine just sprayed light everywhere and I pulled them out after a week,
with the correct glass you can adjust them pretty good,
cops are pretty harsh in Australia so I just put normal globes in again Phillips xtreme vision and I'm happy with them, have hid spotties anyway

Is it true that "white" light is difficult to use in the rains?

I live in INdia and we have some heavy showers. Most dealers have suggested that i stick to my originals, rather than go in for WHITE HID's.

Does anyone face any problem?

I don't see how it would be a problem?

I have driven in rain at night. Don't really notice a difference.

If that's the case get a 4500 bulb instead of 6000 bulb. 8000 looks more blue than 6000
