I have been offered a job in a small town that is just a few hours away and my cruiser has the seal between the transmission and transfer-case in need of repair, it seems to pump the gear oil from the transfer-case out and into the transmission and then as the transmission gets to full the oil comes out the front into the clutch area.

Do you think it will be OK to drive for a few hours? Its just been sitting since I haven't had the money to rebuild the t case the transmission is a brand new H55 so I hope I haven't damaged it in the little bit I have driven it.

Mine is doing the same thing but having sat for ten years, I want to drive it a little. I bought one of the hoses that connects the T-case to the tranny. As the fluid goes into the tranny it runs down the tube to the t-case.

Spectre has em, Manafre may.

I'll let the experts chime in.

Do the transfer tube fix if you don't have the time or $$$ to do the seals. Search transfer tube and you will find a few threads on this. I built mine from a few connectors and some hose. The connectors I found locally at a bearing service shop. Total cost was around $25. Your best bet is to call NAPA and they will know who carries the right fittings in your area. Finding metric threaded to hose was the problem...M18 X 1.5 was my thread size for the fill plugs.

I've got a transfer-transmission hose kit that I'd be willing to part with. I just removed it from my truck because I put in new seals on my transmission and transfercase. It's the same kit that Man-a-fre sells. Let me know if you're interested.
