Just got my OME lift and I thought I read that they were side specific but nothing included in the lift mentioned it, but there are stenciled codes that are different. Any ideas?

Did you get an A and B spring?

B spring goes on the passenger side.

I think they were marked B and D? I'll double check in the morning. D for driver? B for passenger?:bang:

I would call up arb and talk to them. I don't know why they don't have detailed instructions for this.

Mine were clearly marked A and B.

Also, be careful with the shackles. I actually mixed up the front and rear shackles the first time.

decide which side you want to lean..then put the B spring on that side. Otherwise, unless they have changed the design, imho you should get either two A's or two B's. I swapped my sagging B for a second A and never leaned since.

sorry...I feel obligated to respond. you'll want the outside of the curve facing down...:D

3 of mine have pluses...Now I just have to wait 14 hours or so until ARB answers their phones...

hey,ive just gone through all of this and its confusing,
the + is above spec and the - is below spec, 0 is spec,
+ is 5ml above spec, and - is 5ml below spec,
A is for drivers side as it is more stronger and has a tiny extra leaf in it than the B leaf spring, the B is the other side, but i have two A`s on the rear, cause it works for me......
the rear`s only have A or B,the front doesnt...the front should be the same and both +`s or both -`s,
but from what ive looked into, the cruisers are hard t o fit perectly,so i hope that helped,
:wrench:

Got it. Here's a weird one- everything I've read here says to use the longer shackles in the front, but the box they came in said rear and the short ones said front...?

The front shackles are actually thinner plates and longer.

yes there for specific sides...why not call the shop where you bought them? I used two A springs and have no issues or lean. OME heavy front and rear.
I don't know for sure which spring on the rear is suppose to go on which side but I see where others have offered that info. I'm sure Kurt would be glad
to assist you on that question.

where are you guys seening the markings on the springs? i have the lean going on the passenger side and am wondering if they need to be swapped.

If you switch them it will just lean the other way. The letters are on the top of the springs in yellow paint very faint to begin with so if your springs are old I dunno if you'll be able to see it.

"A" is drivers side "B" is passenger....

yeah, they have been on a while, no letters. may just be time for a new set. I can tell the passenger side is flatter, so they may just be worn.
