What options do I have for a TC doubler with the 19 spline split transfer case on my 85 fj60? I have seen NP203 doublers for the 10 spline case and the orion doubler, but what works for the 60? I don't just want to put in lower gears. I want to have the multiple gearing options. Thanks for the input.

Marlin Crawler (marlincrawler.com) has a Toybox that goes between the transmission and transfer case. The gear ratios available are a 2.28:1 and a 4.7:1 - I believe he also has a 4:1 ratio available. Their website is being redone, so you will just have to call them.

Marlin has been out of a key toybox component for months. I called and bugged them last week, you could do the same.

Here is how to get the 19 spline adapter for the FJ60.

Advanced Adapters catalog lists it as #50-8804 is the item number off of my AA invoice which reads "TLC 19SP TC/ NP203 LOW"

Last I heard they quit selling the rockbox.

I'm pretty sure the Marlins ToyBox only comes in one flavor 4.7:1

actually I thought are really needed the 4.7 in the toy box .. ? ( in a full body 60 series . .? )

Stock gears for the box are 2.28, 4.7 uses MC's aftermarket gears.

Nope, guess again. A stock mini reduction box does not have the corret input gear for a landcruiser 19spline output shaft. Marlin Crawler Inc. Only makes one input gear for that fits our 19spline output. It is 4.7:1. A 2.28 is on the drawing board for the toybox.

I asked my source again about the rockbox and he was sure that they quit having the gears cut that they needed for it. They probably are selling what's on the shelf.

Well, it is a little confusing and rather annoying that on the Marlin Crawler website they listed both 2.28 and 4.7 as available for the h42/h41 and split case.

Rusty_TLC has a Toybox 2.8 behind an H42 but I think is going into a 10 or 16 spline t-case input gear.

It may be correct that the 19 spline is only available in 4.7. Doesn't matter because the 4.7 is the one I want.:grinpimp:

I guess that's where my confusion came from too. Oh well, 2x 2.28 was a little redundant anyway.

Jerry Nichols sells the adaptors to mate a np203 reduction box between the h42/h555, and the a440f. I put this in my cruiser a little over a year ago and I love it for the gearing.

You can find these cases cheap, but the adaptor is not. It comes with two adaptor plates a bearing and a new input gear for the 203.

Be careful if you buy this, it does work, but be mindful of the case you purchase to mate between your drive train. My np203 reduction box is a little loose and sometimes wants to come out of gear when engine breaking at speed.

They do exist!

I have a 2.28 toybox for a 19 spline 60 case...

yep, I have the 2.28 in my toy box in my cruiser now to 19 spline split case. it certainly does exist. I am glad i did not go with the 4.7 since i have an NV4500 with 6.34 1st gear that would be rediculously low. as it is now the 2.28 is perfect. it is silly slow
