hey,
this weekend has been frustrating. i was ready to get the truck inspected today double checking everything. the reverse lights did not work origonally, i just thought it was the bulbs. i have search the 60 sight and theres info on the 62 and the h55 trans but nothing definitive on the 60 4speed. what i have done.
replaced the bulbs twice(just incase bad new part)
checked the socket for voltage when in reverse(vehicle running) - no power
traced the wiring diagram from the FSM all connectors are connected. i unplugged them all cleaned the contact areas and plugged them back in.
wirining diagram says uses frame the transfer case ground circuit so removed that wire cleaned the contact points and put is back on.
i even supplied external power to the reverse light wires and i had lights.
this all points to the back-up light switch which is $50 from the dealer.
just want to make sure im not missing something....
opinions and much thanks, pics of the switch would be great if anyone has any
