Thought I would share the original purchase info for my FJ. I thought it was kinda cool.

Truck was bought new in Costa Rica. 1973. 4 on the floor, ambulance doors, ignition on the column. If I remember correctly the frame # came out to 10/72 for production.

Toyota, Rolls Royce and Rambler, interesting group of makes for a dealership. Cool paperwork. Did you import it from Costa Rica?

yeah, It has ambulance doors. The guy swore it came that way. The guy I bought it from, his dad, bought it new in Costa Rica. He said his dad lived there for awhile. Then drove it up to the states when he moved back. Was a cool little story.

Ten spline H41, with the 2.3:1 low range transfer case...possibly.

Any pics of the truck? ;)

I bought it a year ago. The picks I have from him are better. So here you go.

Last one. There is also stickers on the windshield from his dad driving through Hondurus. Like a state pass to drive through.

It did...

There are a couple '73 4spds (diesel tho) running around my area, closest in Austin, member here goes by "ticolovetractor" ..........

Came with stock air. But he removed it and sold it. It doesnt even have the cut outs in the firewall to put in a stock heater.

Those folks don't need heaters evidently.....

I looked up the Frame and engine #. Frame #FJ40-139867. Engine # F-416193. By the looks of it, the #'s looked like it is 11/72 date. No data place on the door frame. It did have a plate inside the motor compartment. ID on that plate was 0416193. Didnt find any info for that #.
