Mite be risky sending the money, how can I know if genuine or not? Dodgy part of the world dat is!

junk

Warning ...... this stuff from EBI (extreme bends) is pure junk. Don't waste your money or time. You'll spend more time trying to get the junk parts to fit than you would if you did custom body work. I have heard horror stories of these panels not even being workable from a body shop. Several stories from real buyers not getting refunds either once the junk pieces are shipped. I spoke with a guy in KY that was burned bad also.

Buyer beware....

Please inform me what junk you're speaking about. I have one person I'm dealing with that may need a refund. One part out of hundreds of pieces seems to be a pretty good track record. The parts are not made on site so I can't hand check every part

We've installed the pieces here and never had a problem

Sounds like more "web rumour" bull**** to me

Slandering a company is not a nice thing to do. I'm the owner and I think I'd have a pretty good idea as to what's going on. Why have all these people never contacted me?? sounds like someone is getting their info wrong

get the info right before you spout off

I did a little searching and found one of your other posts

"""Beware that there are many horror stories from the low quality heritage 2nds sold by some guy in Port Moody, B.C. and back east also"""

wow, you really have your info messed up
I've never bought a tub from heritage
I'm certain Lance would agree. Plus who's this guy back east?

you guys better bring some popcorn

You searched thru all 8 of his posts and 2 were bashing you? I wouldn't take this newbie too seriously. Sounds personal though.

true enough and point well taken

I bust my butt to make sure everyone is happy, sacrafice my own wrenching time to make sure others are ready for runs, and make sure everyone is happy at the end of the day. Then someone trashes EBI/me. I do try my best to keep a civil and professional attitude but there is a point that I peak.

I should have taken a few deep breathes and replied later.

Well I still reckon this is "good use" of the ih8mud site (and all blood pressures should remain within reasonable levels).

I reckon members must remain free to discuss ANY product! (Just as has happened here.)

When criticisms turn out to be "unsubstantiated" or "invalid" then this invariably shows up as the thread follows its course.

On the other hand - I can understand how vendors might get hot under the collar - Particularly when a criticism may be unfounded.

ih8mud rocks!

Ok guys,
Before we et to bashing Colombia too much let me say a few things. (1) They have an absolute c r a p load of cruisers there. Lots of them in great shape, lots of 40s still hauling coffee and beans all over from farms to market. That is where I fell in love with cruisers over ten years ago. (2) Notwithstanding all of the security problems they have they have a MUCH more developed 4x4 scene there than anywhere in Central America. In fact I'd venture to say that some of the toughest 4x4 clubs anywhere run throughout Colombia (Amazon) and Venezuela (Orinocco). (3) While I know that they have lots of cruiser mantainenace skills it just stands to reason, given how resourceful a people they are, that they would build up a home grown replacement parts business. The website that Roscoe found has the owners name and picture. Before making a judgement why not send him an email and ask for his phone number. Give the guy a call and see what his prices are and if he sounds legit. Depending on what I find as they tear my body apart next week I might just give these guys a flier if they have reasonable prices and shipping rates.
Just my .02,
John

now that I have gone through their site these guys do not appear to be retailer shippers. They might be but they talk about orders of $25K or more and their payment terms are in irrevocable letters of credit and wire transfers. Not how most guys selling a set of rear doors normally seek payment. Maybe these guys would go for a group buy from a club of parts but before all of that I think that anyone really interested should give the owner a call. He has both his landline as well as his cell listed right on the site.

No not as yet ..... i was looking at European suppliers to avoid the dreaded duty on imports.... any one you know of in Europe....
