ive never posted pics of my manifold off the engine so while its off i took some pics for you all

its removed for a turbo upgrade (no not the huge one in the pics tho its tempting) and also to replace the gasket and retap a thread in the head that is stripped GRRRR

anyway here are a few pics

few more

o and no need to critisise the welding it was done with a pos gasless welder that is better off for use on farm gates LOL

im tempted to make a new manifold up and make it a tuned length and all that performance crap but then i remember its a 2f whats the point

All that performance stuff does make a big difference no matter what the motor is.

at the moment the turbo i have is a unknown i cant find any specs on it anywhere but(insert laughter here) ive found 1 guy thats fitted the same turbo onto a 1.6l honda civic this tells me that its WAAAAAAY too small

im runnning a top of 8psi but ive ran a max of 18psi for a laugh

im going to fit a r33 skyline turbo onto it 2.5l that revs to 7000+rpm so should be nice for a 4.23l that revs to 4000ish

its a totally new vehicle to drive no more downshifting for the hills just give it some gass and you keep going just last week i did a 650km return trip down some roads i used to drive and 1 section is quite hilly id often be in 3rd doing 60kmh but with the turbo 5th gear 100kmh all the way

also fuel consumption has not changed at all within 10km a tank
