early 70's carb and throttle cable?

So I finally got the right carb for my cruiser, but now I cant the throttle cable to hook up to the carb. I dont know if i'm missing anything or not, but could someone show me a pic of how the throttle cable hooks up to the carb. my cruiser is a 9/70. thanks

Here are a couple pix from mine. I think the carb is a 72.










The brass looking piece that the cable is attached to came off of the Rochester I had in it previously. It didn't come so that I could wire it up the same way as it was before...so I had to scavenge what was left over. The cable is frayed and due to be replaced, but this may help.

I just wanted to add if it breaks use a bicycle brake cable. works the same as the expensive throttle cables. Hope this helps anyone. Plus it saved me a lot of $.
