I am wanting to make a brush guard that looks like this one.

Does anyone have specs or a front picture of this style?

That's the ARB. I'm sure they have a website, I think that's the older design.

That's a 90% ripoff of the old style ARB bull bar, which is not available any longer. There's a fabricator in San Marcos, Texas who's building clones of this bumper for Wimberly 4x4. I've seen his shop and products and they're extremely rugged, sturdier than the original ARB IMHO. Send a PM to grant5127-- he has all the details. Also try search. IIRC Grant posted photos of the prototype bumper several weeks ago.

Around these parts we gotta build em extremely rugged....we use em as "Pursuaders" to keep the cattle and deer and illegal immigrants off the road..

Dudley - I know where one of these old-style ARB front bumpers is, sitting in a barn near the Quads.

The guy is not looking to sell, but if you or anyone wants it for $550ish I think he would.

I am not affiliated --- I bought his truck for parts a few years ago and didn't want to pay that much for the bumper.

PM me for his contact info if desired...

That would be illegal to be driven on the road in this country. (Any add-on to the bumper that tends to push an impact-victim downwards is now deemed to be illegal. --Or so I was told at a previous "Warrent of Fitness" inspection when I had one fitted that contravened this edict.)

We call this "brush guard" a "bull bar". And I remember being told also that we are not allowed to have ours projecting forward of the original bumper.

Here, they think up new regulations to hound the owners of older/modified vehicles on a regular basis.

These "concealed regulations" are enforced more in some parts of the country than others too.
:)

Around these parts bigger is better.... the one on the olive cruiser is the last original ARB..... the red one has a reproduction one ( in the raw) a local cat is making.....

Dudley,

Looks good and glad you got it OK. Looks like the winch went on well even though you had to massage it. Hope it was not too much trouble. Enjoy it.

Its an old topic, but just to refresh it, if someone know where to get this old style or a company--member here ....maybe more people like it
