I have noticed that few stock parts and parts numbers are different in my 2012 LC200, as compared to 2011 LC200, as seen on ih8mud and around. I'm not sure if Toyota made changes to their stock parts depending upon region/model specifics or part improvements etc.. - so below is something for brainy ih8mudders to ponder and elaborate

Shock Absorbers

45L Fuel Subtank
-2012 LC200 fuel subtank has only ONE INTAKE NOZZLE - see pic below
-2011/2010 LC200 sub tanks had 2 intake nozzles which fit straight into ARB 180L tank code TR68L.

Now I want to order the ARB tank and have been trying to get in touch with both ARB & LongRanger guys and awaiting their response. So far no luck. there is NO pump in the subtank - seems like a gravity flow/siphon mechanism.. See pics... why haven't ARB/LR taken these sub tank changes into account??? [they sent the same 2 nozzle tank to my friend with 2012 LC200....]

Can anyone elaborate the significance of these part changes?

My 2012 LC200 has a factory winch with factory back door mounted spare wheel and another spare wheel under chassis. No KDSS.

Pictures are - 2012 Sub tank with one nozzle, 2010 with 2 nozzles and the new 2012 ARB 180L Tank code TR68L purchased recently..

Part number change usually means engineering change and/or supplier change. Sometimes these happen together; sometimes they happen separately.

Re: 45L fuel subtank !

I didn't get any satisfactory response either from the long ranger or from the general ih8mud community , but now I have few more details / pics to share. Initially I thought that the V6-2012 LC200 manual has one return nozzle in their sub tanks and hence we need to plug one of the ARB aux tank nozzle. ARB comes with 2 return nozzles.

Recently me and my friend - we both have exactly the same vehicles - same manufacturing period - same specs - same color - V8-4.6L 2012 - went for our aux tank (TR68L) installations. Apparently my subtank had 2 return nozzles and his one had only one! We just cannot comprehend this difference ? See the pics below if you can make out some sense !

So is it some kind of random subtank distribution by Mr.T? Is there any significance of having one versus two return nozzles? How come ARB never witnessed this ? After some waiting and discussion with long ranger , they just sent us a new plumbing diagram to plug one of the nozzles ! That's it.
