This review is long over due. The crew at EMS offered up a final fit exhaust at no charge and I happen to not live that far from their shop and was able to jump on the offer. Life has been very busy with planning for the FJ Summit but that is now done and am happy to report that the event was a success! Feels good to be back in the land of the living.
Since the install I have driven from Austin to Florida and back then to Ouray, Colorado and back.
Ill stat with a pic of the stock vs the shiny new EMS exhaust:

The EMS cat back exhaust first and foremost is a gorgeous pice of art as shown above. I cant tell ya that the looks improve its quality but it certainly does not hurt.
When I dropped my truck off they asked me how I wanted the tail pipe to exit, I opted for a full tuck and they delivered. From the back of my rig all you see is the stock bumper and tow hitch, you do not see the tail pipe. This came in handy on some of the trails up in Ouray! This may contribute to the cabin noise but without comparison I cant say.
The sound is awesome! First time I started it up I thought it sounded very similar to my daughters Mustang GT. From inside the cabin it is certainly noticeable but not overbearing. If you like your rig nice and quiet then stick with stock. I really enjoy the sound and after two month dont really notice it unless I get on it to pass someone. I also notice it every time I start it up, kinda brings a grin to my face. There are a few speeds that it is more noticeable than others. Between 20-35 in slow traffic it is a bit louder, at 75 on the highway its not even noticeable. Jump on the skinny pedal and a grin will come to your face.....
Performance wise, I would say that the 100 series seems to have to work less to get up to and maintain speed. I dont have dyno proof but know the numbers have been posted. In the mountains, the truck did great! I do run a Spectrum air filter, similar to a K&N, which is my attempt to get more air in and the EMS exhaust seems to help get the air out. MPG wise, I thought there would be a savings and that is not the case. Fully loaded I get about 14.5 mpg or right at 300 miles per tank. For comparison, I dont drive slow. Our highway speed limits average 75mph and you just may get run over if you are obeying that limit.
If you are on the fence about this exhaust, I'd say jump on over! I do have a the exhaust tick and plan on having the EMS crew complete the system with a set of headers later this year. Great guys with top quality products get my A+!
Ill try to get a start up sound clip posted soon.
