Yes I searched, anyway noticed some issues with my horn lately. Sometimes when I press the wheel it sounds and others it doesnt. Being a long time lurker I figured it was just the horn. However today it would not work at all. When I press the panic button the keys it works - although sounds awful and needs replacement.

Is it the steering wheel itself or some relay/fuse that could be blow between the horn and wheel that allows the panic button to work but not the actual wheel.

Thanks in advance!

no i thought you were trying to solve an issue with the horn? Hold the "horn" down and turn the wheel. Maybe the clock spring needs to be replaced.

I;ll keel that in mind, Ill check the torque on the lug nuts too just in case.

I meant turn the wheel as in, the steering wheel...I hope you understood :D

Didn't work at first today. Drove around for abour 12mins running errands, pulled in the driveway and not only did the horn work but it sounded completely fine.

I'm beginning to think its just the actual horn that needs replacement. Any thoughts.

And Loud, turning the wheel while holding the horn did nothing this morning when I first started out. I'm still notsureifsrs about that idea....anyway.

i once punched my horn in a little road rage attack. I had been hit by some dink a few days earlier luckily. after i punched it it would honk when i turned, or if i grabbed the top or bottom of the wheel and wiggled it.
-apparently it was broken in a way which warranted the wheel being replaced. ($900). I said i was luckily hit because i was then able to claim it as part of the accident. (airbags never went off btw).
- i will say that the horn sound itself has always been a bit off after that. and if i hold the horn it kinda...waivers.

-this was done by the same shop that fixed the body and are very reputable, so im sure it was neccisary.
