Hey guys,

I'm new to this website and I looked everywhere I could think of and i couldn't find a place that talks about adjusting headlamps on a 2005 landcruiser. I replaced the left headlamp because it was cracked and now both headlamps are off. I don't know which one is correctly adjusted. I know on a mercedes there is a knob and a bubble to follow to adjust the lights. However, on the landcruiser, I couldn't find anything to adjust them. Can someone please help me? Thanks.

There is a small adjustment nut near where the bulb for the low beams goes into the housing. You'll need a small wrench and some patience if you try to adjust with the lamps installed.

I started twisting a knob that was covered by a metal cap but it didn't do anything so I stopped messing with it. Was that it?

There should be 2 adjusters, one for left/right align and one for up//down align. I don't have the adjustment specs at the moment, but they are probably in my electronic FSM. OZ has different specs AFAIK and I don't have them handy either. Someone will chime in with the adjustment specs I am sure, it's not that hard to do with a couple of chalk crosses on the wall.
EDIT: By the way, do a search on headlight align or something similar, I am sure this has been covered before, or the FAQ may have it in it already and if not then the 80 series FAQ probably has the info which will suit anyway.

(btw: You have to turn quite a bit to see any change, several turns)
