Passenger side front axle torn down and rebuilt with the disc brake components.
Hope to complete the driver's side next week as I am done traveling for a few weeks.
A surprise box from Saudi Arabia arrived end of the week.
Turns out Meshal didn't like the look or sound of the 45's starter when he was here, so he picked up a more correct model and had it sent it to me.
What an awesome surprise from a truly...
Meshal (red shirt) and his friend Meshari stopped by for lunch and a tour of the shop.
It was great to finally meet the guy with whom I had spent hours talking to on WhatsApp to get the 45 deal done.
A true cruiser guy and all around good fella...
Fay, the lady that worked there acknowledged there were issues with the earlier bodies when I asked her and mentioned they are working to correct it on the newer bodies.
No. They would need an LV body to send to China to copy it so they can develop it. There was a Ford Truck crew cab they were going to ship so they can reproduce them.
This guy is in Australia, but man is he a talented fabricator. Doesn’t hurt to send him a message and ask if he would be willing to make one for you. Sawyer Metalcraft - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61570158148468&mibextid=wwXIfr
More good news! Maybe my bad karma is on the way out.
Motor work is finished and all the parts are ready to pick up in Wyoming. Traveling now, so will head there the end of the month.
Can't wait to get started on putting this truck back together...
Might be heading up 84 on Sunday. ALS fund raiser. Everyone will stop at the San Gregorio store for a bit then head to Pescadero for lunch. Keep an eye out!
Where have you been hiding her? I drive by your place occasionally and see the tan 45 and others in your property, I actually stopped once in my 45 and didn't see any sign of life so I drove to Apple Jack's. She's a beauty!!
