We also replaced the reverse switch connector from the R151 transmission harness with the correct H151 plug and pigtail that came with the transmission itself. More life skills for Luke. Now we swap pumps.

All the soldering stuff arrived from Amazon. I had about 6 mm on the long side and 3mm on the short side and it was more than enough to make a good strong solder joint. Luke, 14, helped. And of course I wore 4.5x loupes.

I got the fuel solenoid valve off of the original pump. No obvious source of gross contamination but time to swap out anyways. It’s a 38mm wrench for future reference.
