| Here's some scans of Japanese brochures from the early 1950's.
- A brochure of the first gen BJ.
- A brochure of fire appliances (including the FJJ based on the first gen FJ LC).
- A brochure of the 1954 RK (later renamed as the Stout) Index of /~stepho/brochures/Toyota
Does anybody know anything about the early RWD light trucks based on the SA to RH cars?
Many of these had the B or F engines (eg BDR police patrol car, FHJ fire truck).
I've gathered everything I know here: Talk:Toyota SA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

| Hey, that S800 prototype is an interesting photo.
It's proper name is the Publica Sports. It was shown at the 1962 Tokyo Motor Show and featured a sliding canopy instead of doors (removed for some reason in the photo). Other clues are the indicators mounted under the headlights (S800 had them up above the wheel arches), widely spaced vertical bars in the grill with double horizontal bars (S800 had closely spaced vertical bars with a single horizontal bar each side) and the barely visibly cut outs on the side where the canopy would sit.
Another Publica Sports prototype was made for the 1964 Tokyo Motor Show that was practically identical to the production Sports 800. |

This is a Toyota KC aircraft starter truck (often called a GB starter truck).
It has a power take-off driving a shaft above the cab which is used to start an aircraft engine. The Japanese top text says this and gives the date as June 1942.
I have a couple of scale models of this, one of which I put on Wikipedia (without the top shaft) Toyota G1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
