I've never had any personal dealings with them, but have read very bad things about their customer service and quality. Try searching on Yotatech, TTORA, 4x4wire, etc.

His bad dealings are not only limited to the 'yota community. He has screwed quite a few people in the Jeep community too, including an old roommate of mine. The bumper was beefy and very nice once finished. Unfortunately it did not come finished from Kenn Mtn, but rather required extensive "tweaking" by my roommate. That seems to be the trend, lots of tweaking by the end users required.

I will tell you right here.

IN MY OPINION:

His prices are very competetive so you get lured in...
He is very nice and accomodating up front, willing to work with you.
You send him money.
You wait for a few months.
You call him and ask him when you will get your bumper, etc.
He says "it is going in the mail today".
You wait another month then call him again.
This process is repeated for 3 to 5 months, IF you can get him on the phone or to return a call. (keeping in mind that he cashed you check the minute he got it).
Not to mention that when you confront him with his lies, he gets pissed and acts like a fawking jerk, as if it was your fault his is lying to you.
You finally get a bumper that "sorta" works with some modification and a new paint job because he sends them wraped in some ill-fitting cardboard and the ends are all scraped up.

This scenario was repeated twice by me and once by my Father.

Hope this clears it up.

very interesting.

when i asked if he made an 80 series bumper system, he told me to use the 4 runner model.

so i asked for dimensions...and seem to fit my LC. i also asked for pictures and got none, which is not really helpful when trying to sell a several hundred $$ piece of metal. and asked for installation instructions...this is what i got:

"Bolt mounting bracket to bottom of frame using existing holes. Cut new holes in side plates and bolt to frame. Cut off excess frame that protrudes past side plate. Position bumper and weld to mounting bracket."

i'm not very confident in that set of instructions for a bumper that is made for a 4 runner and not LC.

so far no one except kenmtn has anything good to say aboooot them.

thanks

Just my 2 cents. I have wheeled in GA and the surrounding area and I have never seen this guy, his stuff, or anyone with his stuff. I would be careful :)

I don't have any experience with these people but this quote worries me a bit.

"Schedule 40 pipe protects the rest of the fender, grill, and hood from unwanted intrusions"

I built sand cars and S.C.O.R.E. ready race trucks for Predator Sand Cars. I don't know anyone I would consider a professional fabricator that uses pipe in place of tube.

From an engineering standpoint pipe is designed for much different stresses and strains than tube.

i purchased a rear bumper for my isuzu trooper from him about 5 years ago. Took forever to get to me.....gave me the run-around several times. Finally got it and the quality sucked big time. Plus, it didn't fit. called him up about it and he was tryng to get me to cut/weld and fix it. I told him that if that is what i wanted and had the tools, time and skills to do i would have never bought one in the first place. So he asked me to ship it back, i told him he would be paying for shipping...he then told me nevermind he would just make another one and ship it out. Took forever to get the second one and it didn't fit right either. Finally gave up and took it to a friends to make it fit. POS if you ask me.

Don't deal with their terrible quality.

Keller,
What are thinking of buying anyway?
You already have a ARB so I am guessing a rear bumper/carrier and sliders.
There are many better options that folks here can make themselves or recommend quality fabricators with good attitudes. Life is to sweet to waste on people that do not take pride in their work.

I bought my rear bumper from Slee. Very good quality and great follow up after the sale. His product line continues to evolve too. I like what he's done with his current series. I'll be using the one I've got for a very very long time. And, it fit perfectly.

Be carefull trying to save money for parts like this. The premier builders charge more. You get what you pay for.

Keller or whoever in the southeast near Kennesaw,

There is a new guy here in Auburn (about 1.5 hours away) who just started a fabrication business called Painless fabrication. I am sure that he could make what you want for a really great price. I saw a bumper that he made for a Z71 and it looked amazing. I can get you his number and maybe some pics of his work if you want, i bet it would be worth your time.
