Shouldn't this have a zerk? is this a plug? This is the front U-joint of the rear shaft. Do I ez-out this plug and put a zerk in?

Yes, it should have a zerk that is mounted at an angle on a rectangular box to give you better access for servicing.

EZ-out should do the trick.

Don't know, it sure looked like it. Dug around in the hole and found what I'm calling a plug, doesn't seem like it would let any grease flow through. Where would I get that rectangular box or should I just put a 45deg 8mm x1 zerk?

Oh, maybe that's just a 90 deg zerk.

Agreed.

Need to drill it, use an extractor and then install a new one.

And SOON....since that joint looks drier than the bottom of a Camels Foot.
