Hi All,

Can anyone help me identify the correct seal kit I will need to fix this leaking hub?
I took it into a "Toyota Specialist" funnily enough it leaks even worse than when I brought it to him.
I wish I could give more insight as to what the axle / hub / rear end was, but this car was restored by someone I'm no longer in contact with.

The passenger side has been bad for a while now, the driver's side only just started to leak.

Thanks in advance!

This is a dent in the passenger side rear hub, potentially where the fluid is leaking.

Looks like a 40 SF rear axle with a FF conversion done to it. My guess is that the oil seal is leaking diff oil into the wheel bearings. It’s then leaking past the o-ring in the hub.

This should help with the hubs:

Good luck

Way back WARN made kits to convert SF to FF… they’re the only ones I know of, I suspect the Yukon hubs are a replacement part on one of those kits.

I’d guess the disc brake conversion was done using GM mini callipers (aka Monte Carlo). If you do your rear brakes bring them to the parts store to confirm. Older hot rod parts guys will know what you need… year/make/model teenagers won’t have a clue.
