Had to post here since the 80 dudes seem to use these a lot even though I got it for the 60. If youve ever wondered how big the 4x4labs spindle is, its massive, heres a couple pics.

Great service, fast delivery, but they forgot my labs stickers the bastards lol. Glad I sprung for it.

D

Not to hijack, or take anything away from Luke's spindle (cause it is VERY beefy), I got the one on the left from Summit Machine in Salt Lake City... I like the flange on the spindle, which gives a larger area to weld, and keeps the heat affected zone further from the area that sees stress. Also great folks to deal with.

Just another good option.

Very nice product at a good price. I really like the threaded cap.

Full discloser I have 2 - 4x4 Labs bumpers

Thats a NICE spindel, but damn! $200 deep into the bumper material list and all youve got is 2 spindles!

Not saying that is too much money for what you get, cause it looks like a piece that takes some time to make, but maybe a little on the spendy side when you can spend less than half on something that does the same job. I do like the idea of the screw on cap though. Maybe they can knock the price down if they dont include the fancy scribble on top! :flipoff2:

damn... I didnt check his website.

I think im going to check around at a few trailer fab shops before spending that much money on 2 spindles.

"Sean" had a bunch of different ones pictured in his rear bumper thread. I'll have to dig that up and see what they are.

Awesome spindles:eek:, guys!

Like drawer slides, you want them over-adequate or you'll be cursing the jangly noises forevermore down the trail, no matter how good the rest of the build is.

The threaded cap and Timken bearings are nice but Luke's has a thicker shaft errr... spindle. I haven't welded mine yet, may have to play with my cheap mill drill for the extra cool factor, I mean weather proofing.

Unlike drawers, spare carriers have much more liability, a spare and carrier bouncing down the highway has the potential to end poorly!:hillbilly: IMHO, investing in a good spindle is $$$ well spent.

IPOR spindles, barely not-as-beefy, $50...
