Years of wear...can the top of the door card be replaced independently?

I've seen people use a SEM color named Monterey Tan to paint the top of the door card. I have the paint from a project with my Tacoma that also uses the same Oak color. I will use Monterey Tan on this upper door car wear repair.
Gonna have to take a look. With the Suburban it was nice that it was such a common truck with vinyl issues. That the paint was super easy to find. The LC not so much.
Found a thread on Monterey Tan. There may be more. I just googled for LX470 Monterey Tan. I can't remember if I saw the door card paint job on here or in the UJZ100 facebook thread.
FOUND IT!: spray can plastic paint to match Tan Oak Interior
So I spent a week and several trips to the auto paint store to find the right color to match the Tan Oak interior color. I used SEM plastic specific paint in the color "Monterey". It's almost a perfect match

I started the thread in 2017 and had the fix done soon afterward. It's been just over four years and the repair looks exactly like it did. No discoloration, no changes that I can see. I'd shoot a photo but what's the point it looks the same as in Post #17. I'm still very happy with the result.

A few years late but adding to the thread for future mudders:
The top accent color piece of the door card is attached via staples to the rest of the door card and stabilized with the door handle/armrest (which itself is screwed in from the back). My top driver's side had some fading/wear/scratches from its 18 years of life, and my top passenger side had a poorly-repaired tear with some actual vinyl damage, so I looked into options for fixing this.
Any competent upholstery shop should be able to separate the pieces and reupholster only the affected area. If you're handy, you should be able to do it too, although with upholstery prices where they are at the moment, it wasn't worth it for me to turn this into a personal project. I paid a reputable shop to do both driver and passenger top parts in new katzkin vinyl for less than 300 bucks. I have a stone interior and dark graphite katzkin vinyl matched pretty darn close to the original color and pattern.
While I had the door cards off I also took the time to re-foam the speakers with a Midwest Speaker Repair kit. Quick little project with huge value results.
*Edit I should mention the reason I chose not to go with the vinyl repair compound and coloring. Keep in mind I had actual heat damage to the vinyl from a bad home repair. I was quoted 320 for a mobile service to make the top bits look new, or 150 just to attempt to fix the discoloration. It was more cost efficient and theoretically a more robust repair to just put brand new higher-tech vinyl in a place regularly exposed to UV light.
