Title pretty much says it all. I did search and found where many have replaced this part, but no details on install.
Is it right to stick this part to the cowl with weather-strip adhesive, or does it just rest there and get pinched in place when the windshield is folded up?
It seems like it would be prudent to glue it down (obviously not to both pieces - cowl and W/S frame - as that would prevent easily folding the windshield down) so that if the windshield is down it doesn't flop around, but maybe it's better to leave it floating so it can seat properly.
